    ivipQ cable care tips

    ***Daily use
    Avoid excessive bending and stretching: The internal structure of HIFI cables is relatively delicate, excessive bending may cause the internal wires to break or the insulation layer to be damaged, while stretching may loosen the connection between the wires. Therefore, in the process of installation and use, pay attention to maintain the natural direction of the cable, avoid forced bending or stretching. For example, when connecting audio equipment, enough length should be reserved so that the cable can be placed naturally and not left in a taut state.

    ***Prevent abrasion and extrusion: Once the outer skin of the cable is worn out, the internal wires will be easily affected by external factors, such as oxidation, moisture, etc., thus affecting the sound quality. So avoid contact between the cable and sharp objects, and also prevent heavy objects from being squeezed. For example, do not place the cable where it may be pressed by furniture feet or other heavy objects, and when you need to move the cable, maneuver carefully to avoid its friction with the ground or other objects.

    ***Correct plugging and unplugging: Incorrect plugging and unplugging may damage the cable's plug and socket. When plugging or unplugging, hold the main part of the plug rather than pulling directly on the cable cord to ensure a firm and correct connection between the plug and the socket. If the plug is difficult to pull out, do not force it, but check first if there is a latch or fixing device that has not been undone, or gently turn the plug from side to side to loosen it before pulling it out.
    Keep clean: regularly wipe the cable surface with a clean, soft, damp cloth to remove dust and stains. For the plug portion, it can be cleaned with a special electronic cleaner to remove surface oxidation and dirt to ensure a good connection. However, it should be noted that after cleaning, you need to wait until the plug is completely dry before using it to avoid short-circuit and other problems.

    ***Dry and Ventilated: Humid environment will easily lead to the deterioration of the outer skin of the cable and rusting of the inner wires, so you should store the HIFI cable in a dry and ventilated place. You can consider using desiccant to absorb moisture in the air, such as placing some silica gel desiccant in the cabinet or box where the cables are stored and replacing it regularly to keep the environment dry.
    Avoid high temperature and direct sunlight: High temperature and ultraviolet rays in the sunlight will accelerate the aging and hardening of the outer skin of the cables and reduce their flexibility and insulating properties. Therefore, the cable should be stored in a place with suitable temperature and avoiding direct sunlight, such as inside a cabinet or in a specialized cable storage box.
    ***Reasonable storage: If you need to store cables for a long time, they should be neatly wrapped up, but do not wrap them too tightly to avoid damage to the cables. You can use cable organizer straps or Velcro to fix the cables, and then store them in a special storage box or bag, which can prevent the cables from winding and messing up, but also play a certain role in protection.
    ***Other Precautions
    Regular Inspection: Check the HIFI cable every once in a while to see if there are any damages or cracks on the cable jacket, and whether the plug is loose or oxidized. If problems are found, the cable should be handled or replaced in time to avoid affecting the sound quality or causing damage to the equipment.

    Avoid electromagnetic interference: HIFI cables should be kept as far away as possible from sources of strong electromagnetic fields, such as televisions, microwave ovens, transformers, etc., because electromagnetic interference may affect the quality of the signal transmitted by the cable, resulting in a decline in sound quality.
